The Cities United Young Leader Fellowship 2023 application is now open! The Young Leader Fellowship is designed to build the pipeline of leaders committed to reducing the homicide rates of young Black men and boys. The fellowship focuses on violence prevention and intervention, specifically targetting suicide, homicide, and gun violence amongst Black men and boys. Candidates are exposed to various careers within the realm of violence prevention, professional development workshops, monthly learning calls with trailblazers in the industry, networking opportunities, all expense paid travel, and more. We follow a hybrid model which allows candidates to participate from all over the country. Upon successful completion of the fellowship, candidates receive a stipend. We have had alumni go on to pursue careers in non-profit work, research/academia, policy, arts/media, business/entrepreneurship and beyond. The fellowship criteria and application are listed below. You are more than welcome to reach out to Jerrilyn Roberson, jerrilyn.roberson@citiesuntied.org, should you have any questions. We will be hosting virtual information sessions on November 10th and 17th from 6-7pm ET. Register here.
Feel free to share the application with anyone that fits the criteria and would greatly benefit from participating. Thank you so much!
